Having solved the case, Agent Cooper prepares to leave town. Leland Palmer’s body is laid to rest. Mayor Dwayne Milford’s decision to marry a much younger woman meets the disapproval of his brother Dougie, publisher of the ‘Twin Peaks Gazette’. Hank Jennings, Ernie Niles and Jean Renault plot to frame Cooper. Having returned from Hawaii, Doctor Jacoby encourages Ed Hurley to enrol Nadine in High School. Cooper confides in Audrey Horne about the death of a woman he loved, becomes a Bookhouse Boy, and is then told by FBI Agent Rodger Hardy that he has been suspended over his illegal entrance into Canada during the raid on One-Eyed Jack’s. Later, Cooper goes fishing in the woods with Major Briggs – but a strange, a bright light causes the officer to vanish into thin air…
